My living room is 18ft x 12ft and the set does its job nicely. The sound fills the room and the bass is more than adequate . Of course there are much better speakers, subs, and receivers out there but then you have to buy everything seperately and its going to be more expensive. So IMO if you have a very limited budget and want good sound this system is for you, if you can spend $1k-$2k then buy seperates and look elsewhere.
